St. Vincent's day is an old and important Kaikavian tradition which is celebrated in the whole of Kaikavian region, around 22nd of January.

St. Vincent's day celebration dates into the ages when ancestors of Kaikavians were settling down in this area, and maybe it is also connected to romanized Celts who grew winegrapes here already at that times. Because how else could we explain that in the performed ritual food and wine are sacrificed to the winegrape, a ritual which is done by the real or "masked" priest?
These are primordial, pre-Christian elements in St. Vincent's day celebration by which wine grapes get worshiped when they slowly start to wake up from their winter sleep.
Thus Kaikavians express through St. Vincent's celebration their love and admiration towards vineyards and wine.

The biggest St. Vincent's celebration in Kaikavian region is organized by mountaineering association Bundek in Sv. Martin, with free buses taking people from Mursko Središče. Every year over 3000 people gather to walk on the hills of Upper Medjimurje, no matter what weather will be.
